Another One Bites The Dust

Hello, hello--hello!

Well, another despot bites the dust!  Yes!  I couldn't believe it when I woke up this past Thursday, showered, ate breakfast (and put the "finishing touches" on my homework from the previous night), and went to school, when I found out from most everyone there that Kadafi was dead.  I was so shocked!  Imagine!  Getting historic breaking news such as this just when you're having your bagels and coffee!  From what I've heard, his own people killed him, just as what happened to Sadam Hussein.  So, you see, it's as if the people in the Middle East are all getting the same message:  that this little thing called democracy is a pretty good thing.

Also, I've also heard that, now that Kadafi is dead, our troops in Iraq will soon be coming home, quite possibly by the end of this year.  I know that they, as well as their families, will be glad to have them home for the holidays.  So, it looks like that's one campaign promise that will be kept.  Now, if we only pull the troops out of Afghanistan, we really will be doing something.  And have some decent jobs and Universal health care for them to come home to...oh, wait.  That's wishful thinking, isn't it?  However, the occupiers on Wall Street and the rest of this country are finally getting off their duffs and protesting what's been long going on in this country, with the attack on the Middle Class and the exploitation of its people, so don't count us out just yet, because it looks like we're just getting started getting this country back on the right track.

Well, next Monday is Halloween, and in a month's time, it will be Thanksgiving, and a month after that, Christmas, and the beginning of a new year.  This year is almost out, and look at all that's happened so far.  Osama Bin Laden.  Moammar Kadafi.  The Iraq troops coming home.  And, the year isn't over yet.

Well, that's all the time we have for this week.  Until next time, be well, stay well, and remember to help the disaster survivors!

Sincerely,

Marley Sue
