Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star?

Hello, hello--hello!

Well, it seems that the East Coast of this country is getting a good pounding from Hurricane Irene this weekend, but she seems to be losing her steam, having been turned into a tropical storm by this morning.  But eight people have lost their lives, sadly, and many more have experience severe damage to and the loss of their properties, and everyone have suffered from frazzled nerves.  True, the damage wasn't on the scale that Katrina was six years ago, but still, I'll be one of the many who would love to say, "Goodnight Irene."

Another interesting item from this past weekend:  astronomers have spotted a planet, about 4,000 light years away, that may be made entirely out of diamond!  Yes!  They say that this planet is far denser than any other known, and it consists largely of carbon, which they also say must be crystalline, so they conclude that a vast majority of it would effectively be diamond.  And just as the Space Shuttle fleet just retired!

Say, do you supposed that this planet may be that twinkling little star we've all heard sing about?  You know, the song we've all learned when we were toddlers.  The song about that twinkling little star that we all wondered about, the one that was "up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky?"  Well, it turns out that we just may actually have a diamond in the sky!  Well, now we all know what that twinkling little star is!  An honest to goodness diamond!  Just think of it!  When you go out at night and look up and gaze into the night sky, you don't know just what those stars are composed of!  Gee!  I wonder how many wishes were made on that particular star?  I'm sure there were many wishes made on it.  I'll bet I know what the people on the East Coast are wishing on it this weekend.  That the rain of Hurricane Irene would soon come to an end.

Well, that's all the time we have for this week, folks!  Until nest time, be well, stay well, and remember to help the disaster survivors!

Sincerely,

Marley Sue
