Freedom Isn't Free, Freedom Isn't Cheap

Hello, hello--hello!

And now, in honor of the 235th anniversary of the independence of our fair nation, here is a special message from Marley Sue, so listen well.

You think freedom is something, that you can take for granted,
That you can sit back and enjoy, and never would be panted,
Well, listen to this message, 'cause this is one for keeps:
Freedom isn't free, and freedom isn't cheap.

Yeah, freedom is something, for all of us must fight,
From the brightest of the morning, to the darkest of the night,
Because, my dearest friends, the evil never sleep,
Yeah, freedom isn't free, and freedom isn't cheap.

You think that fighting's something, that the outsiders must do,
And that the sacrificing, should never apply to you,
And for their appreciation, there never is a peep,
But freedom isn't free, and freedom isn't cheap.

To carry on the fight, it's up to all of us,
For everybody's freedom, we should all get on the bus,
For when freedom is gone, we all are gonna weep,
'Cause freedom isn't free, and freedom isn't cheap.

To carry on our freedom, we all must sacrifice,
To carry on our freedom, we all must pay a price,
For we must all work hard, for us to earn our keep,
'Cause freedom isn't free, and freedom isn't cheap.

We must do what is right, for this is a good start,
We must help all our neighbors, and love them with all our heart,
And don't be complaining cowards, following like sheep,
'Cause freedom isn't free, and freedom isn't cheap.

We all know that freedom, comes at a great price,
Like everything that's worth while, and everything's that's nice,
We've gotta climb the mountain, the one that's very steep,
'Cause freedom isn't free, and freedom isn't cheap.

Now, we've come to the end, so all take my advice
We must be women and men, and not be little mice,
We mustn't lose our way, like the friend of Miss Bo Peep,
'Cause freedom isn't free, and freedom isn't cheap.

Well, that's all the time we have for this week.  Until next time, be well, stay well, remember to help the disaster victims, and happy Forth Of July!

Sincerely,

Marley Sue
