Summertime, And The Living Should Be Easy

Hi-dee-hi-dee-hi-dee--hi!

Well, sorry I'm a little bit late, but I had a little trouble connecting to the Internet yesterday, but I've gotten everything straightened out today, and now I'm back online, and ready to get back to basics!  So, here we go.  Also, I'd like to say congratulations to all you new grads out there, from kindergarten to college, may the future hold the best for all of you, so here's to you, Class of 2011!

So, Summer vacation is finally here, and none to soon either!  Yeah, this week's my last week of school, and I've been looking forward to this ever since, well, last September.  And now, since we're coming to the beginning of Summer break, the big question is what to do with it.  Shall I spend it playing video games, or watching cable and DVD's?  Shall I spend it playing my guitar and writing songs, or reading books and novels?  Or should I spend it preparing for the next school year, like my mom says I should?  Oh, gee whiz.  Decisions, decisions.

I know what I won't spend it doing: worrying about what's going on in the world today.  Yeah.  After the kind of year that we've all been seeing, with the earthquakes and the floods and the tornadoes and the volcanoes, it would be kind of nice to take a little time off from the reality that our teachers make us write about for current event essays and just take a little breather for a while.  Yeah, for the next three months, this will be "my time."  In a year when, so far, the only good news was Osama Bin Laden buying the farm, and ending up being food for crabs and lobsters, I'm kinda looking forward to a little escapist fare, like that new X Men movie.  Because, let me tell you, there's nothing to help you unwind like a cool movie and an even cooler drink.

Well, that's all the time we have for this week.  Until next time, be well, stay well, and don't forget to help the earthquake and tornado survivors!

Sincerely,

Marley Sue
