Moter's Day Medley
Hello, everybody!
So, today's Mother's Day, although, for some, Mother's Day came exactly one week early. Yeah, they've finally got Bin Laden! And almost an entire decade later, too! I mean, that's what everybody's been talking about this past week, and just about everyone knows why. I don't have to tell you what went on, on September 11, 2001, so we'll just skip that. What I will say, however, is that now, there are 3,000 souls out there who can finally rest in peace now.
But enough about him. I've got chicken legs in the oven, and pretty soon, I'll have to open a can of vegetables and put on some Minute Rice, for the big Mother's Day feast we're preparing today. Did you know that you can make raspberry soda by adding Crystal Light to 7UP? Or ginger ale by adding 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger to the aforementioned drink? Or chicken and dumplings by adding one biscuit, split in half, to a can of chicken noodle soup? Just so you'd know.
Summer vacation will be starting in just about a month or so, for which I'm very grateful. I'll finally have time to devote to my music and songwriting. I might even start that gardening project I've been thinking of doing, for quite some time now. I was thinking about some tulips, or maybe some carrots, or strawberries. I hear that if you start growing food, you could cut your grocery bill virtually in half. I've been doing some research about growing your own veggies on the Internet, and it sounds like something I can do. Matter of fact, it sounds a lot like something we all can do, to save some cash on our food bill. Sure, you'll spend a lot of dough on fertilizer and stuff, but in the long run, it will be worth it. I'll let you know how it comes out, whenever I start it.
Well, that's all the time we have for this week. Until next time, be well, stay well, and remember to help the earthquake victims!
Sincerely,
Marley Sue
