2012--The Begining Of The End?
Hello, everybody!
Well, looking out my patio door at the gloominess that is Southern California this morning, I can't help but feel a little bit melancholy. Between the weather in La La Land the past week and the nuclear catastrophe in Japan, I guess we all here in the Southland feel a little down. And from what I've been hearing, the news coming out of Japan is not good: the radiation levels around the Fukushima Nuclear Plant is up to ten million times that of what it should be! And the contamination of the sea water, fresh water, and vegetables continue to rise. Whatever's the case, it doesn't look good for Japan, or for the rest of the world.
From all that's been happening lately, a lot of people are wondering, could this possibly be the apocalypse of 2012 that everyone is talking about? Well, I really can't tell for sure, because I really don't know, but from what's been happening in the past year alone, it sure seems like it could be. Take all of the earthquakes that's been happening lately: Haiti, Chile, Japan, and, as of this past weekend, Myamar (formerly Burma). Take a look at the volcanoes that have gone off, like the one with the long name in Iceland, which I can't pronounce. And take a look at the BP oil cataclysm, which isn't over yet, even when they did successfully cap it. From what I've been hearing, the bottom of Gulf Coast is now a dead zone, with a lot of dead sea plants and dead sea animals lying around, and last week, I heard on one of the talk shows I get every night that a new sheen plume was spotted in the Gulf, which makes you wonder whether or not there's a new leak from that capped well, or whether or not there's a new leak, somewhere else in the Gulf. Yeah, folks, The end of the world may or may not come in 2012, but as I said before, It sure do seem like it. I guess there's not a lot many of us can do except eat that slice of chocolate cake, watch Cartoon Network, and pray.
Well, that's all the time we have for this week. Until next time, be well, stay well, and don't forget to help the earthquake survivors!
Sincerely,
Marley Sue
