No Revolting Over These Leftovers

Hello, everybody!

Well, the Academy Awards have come and gone, and The King's Speech took home the big prize of Best Picture, as we all knew it would.  Exit Through The Gift Shop didn't win Best Documentary, but the one that did, did have a very important message about the state of the American economy today, so I'm glad that that movie won.  Over all, it turned out to be a very typical Oscar ceremony, though.  No surprises, just, well typical.

How'd you like Libya going the way of Egypt?  Seems like this fighting for democracy is spreading all over the place like wildfire, but Qadaffi is not backing down, though.  He vows to say in power to the bitter end.  I guess we have to sit ourselves down and see how this interesting theater of current events plays itself out.  Like I said before,  I hope this doesn't end up like Iran did thirty years ago.

Well, I'm just have enough free time to tear myself away from the kitchen to devote it to writing this blog.  I'm helping make a terrific feast for tonight.  Nothing fancy, just oven fried chicken and homemade pizza, which was made with canned biscuits and leftover ingredients.  You know, the best thing about leftovers is that you can combine them to create an entirely different dish all together.  That's how pizza, tacos, and casseroles all had been invented, just by throwing together stuff from the previous day's meal.  And look how popular they all have become over the years.  Why, pizza is practically the world's most popular dish!  I mean, everybody digs it, and you know why.  Because it's that good, that's why.  You can take biscuit dough, Spam (either regular or turkey), salami, sliced ham, sliced olives, shredded cheese of any variety, and a little bit of spaghetti sauce, and you have dinner!

Well, that's all the time we have for this week.  Until next time, be well, stay well, and remember to help the earthquake survivors!  And I'd also would like to give a little shout out to my good friend, Joni, whose birthday is today.  Happy birthday, Joni!

Sincerely,

Marley Sue
