From Protests To Food

Hello, hello--hello!

Well, the people of Egypt has done it!  Mubarak heard his people's protests and he finally resignedThis brings an end to a nationwide protest that lasted almost three weeks, and an end to a regime that lasted nearly thirty years!  Isn't that something?!  It just goes to show that, when people get fed up, they get fed up, and when they decide that it's time for someone to go, well, guess what?  Protest loud and long enough, and you'll make changes.  Hmmm...

So, tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and we all know what that means.  You got it!  It means doing something extra special for that one love of your life (even if that person is yourself.  You know who you are!).  For me, the one true love of my life is...my Yorkshire Terrier Bootsie (Sorry guys!  You just knew I was gonna mention one of your names!), and since Bootsie is the real love of my life, I've decided to do something extra special for her, such as preparing a delicious meal of the most delectable dog food I can afford!  Ha!  You all thought I was going to make something out of people food, didn't you?  Well, not in this economy, folks!  Our four footed friends will have to make do with premium pet food.

And, finally, tonight is the Grammy Awards, which, I'm sure, all of you will be watching as well, just like me.  Just watch how much you eat.  We all want to keep our New Year's resolution of keeping our weight down.  I find that those little fun sized candy bars are just perfect, if you only eat one of two at a time.  Subway sandwiches are also good, and much lower in calories than the other fast food burgers and pizzas.  And wash it all down with a glass of 2% lowfat milk.  Now that's good eating!

Well, that's all the time we have for this week.  Until next time, be well, stay well, and remember to help the earthquake victims!

Sincerely,

Marley Sue
