Time To Help Kris Kringle Out This Year
Hello, everybody!
Well, folks, we've got two more weeks until Christmas (and three weeks until the new year), and I'm just about sure that all of you have gotten all of your presents for all of your loved ones by now, as well as all the ingredients for the big Christmas feast as well. For those of you who haven't, well, I can understand, with times being what they are and all. But don't worry. As my grandmother always do say, "I'm sure something will come up."
I don't know about the rest of you, but our last day of school before the winter break is this coming Friday, which I can hardly wait for, not only because they're showing Miracle on 34th Street in the parish hall before school is dismissed, but because I'll have two full weeks to do nothing but sit in front of the screen (either TV or computer) and pig out, even though I know that, now more than any other time in my life, I should watch what I eat, not only because of my figure, but because I know my cholesterol tends to run a little high.
Now, even though times are tough as they've ever been in this country, I sincerely hope that all of you out there have taken the time to think about your fellow man and woman, who, believe it or not, are having it much worse than you are now! Yeah! Now, I'm sure a lot of you are finding it very hard to meet your monthly house payments, even if you have them modified, but some people have actually lost their homes! And many of these families have very young children, who are probable wondering whether or not Santa will be visiting them this year. So, with them in mind, I hope that you play Kris Kringle this year and drop an new, unwrapped toy into the donation basket this year, and drop off some canned and boxed dry food off to your local church, or temple, or mosque, or where ever you go to worship, and help our less fortunate (and there's a lot of them out there this year) have a much happier holiday. After all, that's what Baby Jesus would want us to do.
Well, that's all the time we have for this year. Until next time, be well, stay well, and remember the earthquake survivors!
Sincerely,
Marley Sue
