The Thanksgiving Week That Was
Hello, hello--hello!
Well, I hope you all have enjoyed your Thanksgiving weekend, as my family, friends, and I have. Our Thanksgiving feast was great! All of the turkey and ham and sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce and juice and pumpkin pie. Of course, times currently being as they are, there were hardly any leftovers left over. Every single one of our guests took samples home with them. And I don't know about you, but I'm strongly thinking that there was hardly any Thanksgiving leftovers on many tables across America this past season.
So, other than the preceding holiday feast, I find that there is very little to talk about. Of course, there's the tension between the two Koreas going on, with North Korea bombing the living heck out of South Korea. Seems to me that North Korea, to quote Michael Jackson, is "wanna be starting somethin'" with South Korea (and the rest of the world, maybe?). There's the new Disney movie, Tangled, that features an "anti Disney Princess" (and an "anti Disney Prince," for that matter), and I'm sure it's going to make history for that. There's the recent brouhaha about Bristol Palin, Brandy, and Dancing With the Stars (Bristol didn't win, in case you didn't know folks. Veteran dancer Jennifer Grey ended up dancing away with the disco ball, and the accolades). There's the mishap the President suffered while playing basketball with his friends over the Thanksgiving holiday. There's the annual holiday feeding frenzy at the local malls and outlet stores on Black Friday. There's the fact that there's very little going into the cans, boxes, and packages when we buy them at the supermarket, even though the price remains the same, if not increases. Then, there's a certain gentleman up north checking a very long list just about now and determining who deserves what this year. Gee. I guess there was something to talk about this week after all.
Well, that's all the time we have for today. Until next week, be well, stay well, and remember to help the earthquake survivors!
Sincerely,
Marley Sue
