Memoriable Advice
Hello, friends! Hope all of you are doing well today!
Tomorrow is Memorial Day, a day which is very important to every American, and no just because it's a day off from school and work so that you can go to the park and barbecue and play ball. No, it's much more important than that. Memorial Day is so important because it's the day that we honor and remember our war dead, and let the surviving service people know how much we appreciate all that they've done for us, and are still doing (for the living, we also do this on Veterans Day). Yes, for many Americans, Memorial Day is a time for deep reflection and thanksgiving for the freedoms we as Americans all share. So, think of that, when you sit down to chow down on your barbecue and potato salad and your Kool Aid and Crystal Light tomorrow.
Now, I'd like to talk about the upcoming summer months that will soon be upon us. Yeah, I know that summer is a time to play and have fun and do pretty much what you want to do, but what I'm here to tell you all is this: when you go out and have your fun this summer, do so very wisely. I mean, choose your friends wisely, and choose your activities wisely. And, most important of all, stay away from drugs! I cannot begin t tell you how so uncool drugs really are! Drugs destroys lives, but most of all drugs take lives! I'm not kidding! There are only two kinds of people who truly profit from the use of drugs: the dope dealer and the undertaker! So, no matter who might tell you that drugs are cool, I don't care if they are the most popular people, the most beautiful people, the people who everyone would ever want to be, if they try to get you to do drugs, tell them "no!," and get the hell away! You don't have to do drugs to be popular and beautiful. Take yours truly, for example. I'm beautiful. I'm popular. But, I do not do drugs! I don't do drugs because I know what they can do to people, and I know the outcome of their long-term use.
Well, that's about all the time I have for this week, friends. Until next time, stay well, and keep well.
Sincerely,
Marley Sue
