Spring Cleaning

It's spring cleaning time!

Time to shake off the chills of old man winter and get down to the business of clearing out what the preceding year has accumulated!

Yes, as the year's first flowers start to bloom and the first nest lings start to chirp, it's time we get out the dusting towels and the cleaning sprays, and the shovels and rakes, and the pails of hot, soapy water, and get ready for the up coming spring season by, cleaning up and cleaning out (and get out the Raid for the occasional spider or roach that might come your way).

Yeah, I know.  While a lot of us are very happy about spring arriving after four months of harsh winter, we might not be looking forward to rolling up our sleeves and clearing out the dust and the dirt and the grime in our lives.  However, just like most things in our lives, work can also be fun (at least that's what my mom always tells us), and spring cleaning is certainly no exception.  First of all, remember that old Disney song, "Whistle While You Work"?  Yes!  You can sing, or listen to music while you're working.  Just crank up the old Bose and before you know it, cleaning chores will be done sooner than you know it (although it's not recommended to wear the I pod while you're working, because you might not hear when the phone is ringing or when someone's talking to you and stuff), or, when there's more than one person around, you guys can talk while you work, because nothing makes working fun than a nice juicy piece of gossip!

So, what is it that makes spring so special?  Well, maybe it's because not only is spring the signal of warmer weather and sunny days, it's also a time for new beginnings, for starting over, and, for most of us, finishing what we had started, whether last season or many years ago.  For some of us, it may be a time to start eating a little bit better and excersizing more (especially since beach weather is just around the corner), for others, it may be a time to get the old car tuned up for those upcoming summer trips (because, let's face it: summer fun and car trouble just don't mix).  And, for us kids, it's definitely a time to start boning up on our studying so that we can make it to the next grade level, just before summer break begins.

Well, that's it for this week.  Till next time.

Sincerely,

Marley Sue
