Better Late Than Never!

I am so sorry it's taken me all this time to write in my blog, but a lot has happened in the past few months.  First of all, when the economy bottomed out, it took a big toll on my savings, as it has, I'm sure, on all of yours (the only thing that's in my piggy bank are IOU's!).  Then, two days before the start of the new year, the family car burned up, right in the driveway of our house!  It was totaled!  Gone!  Couldn't use it any more!  I mean, just when you think things couldn't get ANY worse in your life!  And then we had to buy a car that we really couldn't afford, but truly needed!  And then, to add insult to injury, we have to pay $800 California state tax on our Interprize, which we just turned into an LLC!  And we barely have enough money to keep it running!  I tell you, if we ever had any kind of luck lately, it's all been bad!

Yeah, I know.  I can hear many of you say, "We hear you, sister, but things haven't exactly been 'Strawberry Fields Forever' for any of us lately, either!"  And that's what we're going to talk about today.  I'm sure, just like me, that many of you have this sinking feeling that your life have more resembled a bowl of hard, irritating, pits, rather than soft, sumptuous, cherries (when was the last time you were able to afford a nice box of Cella's?)  I tell you, if this isn't a Great Depression, it sure does seem like one!  And it seems that nobody wants to give the little guy a break any more!  If you're one of the lucky ones who still have a job, be thankful to the Almighty that you still have it.  If you're still looking, like many of my friends are, don't stop praying to the Almighty to find one.  In these trying times, it seems that He is the only one we all can still believe in.

Well, that's about it for this time.  Just had to get that out of my system.  Next time, I give some tips on how to feed your family on a very shoestring budget (and I do mean shoe string!)

Best regards,

Marley Sue
